Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), also known as Ansar Bangla, is a Bangladeshi Islamic Jihadi group that has been linked to a number of crimes, including the horrific attacks and deaths of “atheist” bloggers between 2013 and 2015, as well as a bank robbery in April 2015.

The group was prohibited by the Ministry of Home Affairs on May 25, 2015, just days after the bank robbery.

The officials further added that the group is tied to Islami Chhatra Shibir, Bangladesh’s student section of the Jamaat-e-Islami party.
