Guwahati: Assam Police has detained a truck on suspicion of transporting illegal animals at Kohora in Assam’s Kaziranga on Sunday.
According to reports, as many as 40 cattle heads were recovered inside the truck.
Two persons has been arrested in connection to the seizure.
The arrestees identified as Muhammad Mubarak Ali and Ankur Saikia.
Reportedly, the cattle heads were being transported from Dergaon in Golaghat and was en-route Sonapur when it was intercepted by police.
