Guwahati: Kamrup District Administration issued an order to the Government service holders and pensioners, who are yet to surrender their ration cards.
Accordingly, the Government servants and the pensioners are to surrender their ration cards positively by the 15th of March, 2022. Otherwise, legal action will be initiated against them under relevant laws and the value of rice unduly utilized will also be recouped from their salaries.
Further, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup also urged the financially sound families of the district to surrender their ration cards for the benefit of the marginalized section of the district and thereby help in the all-around development of the district.
