Assam: Outrage Erupts as Lord Ram Poster Defaced at Lalganesh Hanuman Temple in Guwahati
Guwahati, 28th April: A distressing incident unfolded at the Lalganesh Hanuman temple in the city, where a poster featuring Lord Ram was defaced with black paint, sparking widespread outrage among local residents.
The targeted poster, displayed under the banner of the Establishment of The Ram Mandir, was discovered with black paint splattered over Lord Ram’s face, eliciting shock and dismay among devotees and passersby.
In response, people took to the streets in protest, condemning the act and demanding justice. One protester expressed their anguish, stating, “It’s really unfortunate that they painted Lord Ram’s face on the poster. We just want justice.”
As the investigation unfolds, authorities from the Fatashil and Odalguri police stations were present at the scene to assess the situation and ensure public safety. However, the identity of the perpetrators remains unknown, deepening the mystery surrounding the case.
The incident has stirred emotions and highlighted the need for respect for religious symbols and sentiments, underscoring the importance of unity and tolerance in diverse communities.
