Assam: Outrage in Dhupdhara Town Over Murder of Nine-Year-Old Student
Guwahati, 22nd May: The harrowing incident of a nine-year-old student’s murder has sent shockwaves through Dhupdhara town in Goalpara.
Local residents gathered at the Dhupdhara Police Station to demand justice for the victim. They called for the swift execution of the accused, Haidul Ali.
Haidul Ali stands accused of the murder of Shahidul Ali, the nine-year-old son of Tamiz Ali. The child’s body was discovered on the banks of a river near the paddy fields.
Promptly following the discovery, the family lodged an FIR against Haidul Ali, son of Kumad Ali, from the same village, at Dhupdhara police station.
Acting swiftly, the police launched an investigation and apprehended the suspects from Dhupdhara weekly market.
Upon the arrest of the culprits, hundreds of villagers converged on Dhupdhara police station, demanding that the perpetrators be swiftly brought to justice. They insisted on the strictest punishment for Haidul Ali.
The community remains resolute in their demand that the perpetrators face the full extent of the law, emphasizing that no leniency should be shown, especially given the alleged killer’s relation to the deceased child as his maternal uncle.
