Assam: Over 100 Ferry Passengers Stuck In Brahmaputra

Guwahati: A boat with passengers on board was stuck in the Brahmaputra river near Majuli in Assam on Friday.

According to reports, the ferry carrying passengers along with multiple vehicles has been left stranded.

On the ferry, there are more than a hundred passengers, eight cars and forty motorcycles.

The ferry which was scheduled to depart at 8 am, left at 9 am due to the heavy fog. However, it became stuck in the middle of the river after leaving the Aflamukh ferry ghat.

Meanwhile, the reason behind the incident is yet not clear.
