Guwahati, 19th June: Assam Police achieved a significant breakthrough on June 19 by apprehending a notorious drug peddler from Holong Gutibari area in Tinsukia. Identified as Sobi Deori, the arrest was made by Pengeri police under Tinsukia district following a well-coordinated operation based on credible information.
Sobi Deori had been evading authorities since June 11, orchestrating his illicit drug operations with impunity. His capture marks a crucial victory for law enforcement agencies amidst ongoing efforts to curb illegal drug activities in the region.
Deori is currently under custody at Doomdooma police station, where further legal proceedings are expected to unfold.
