Guwahati: In yet another cattle smuggling bid, at least 27 cattle heads have been rescued in South Salmara-Mankachar District of Assam on Tuesday.
According to reports, the cattle heads were seized from a motorboat near Indo-Bangladesh border.
Police said that the cattle heads were supposed to be smuggled to Bangladesh via the Indo-Bangladesh border through river route.
Further invesgation to nab the smugglers in underway.
