Assam Police Crack Down on Drug Trade, Two Suppliers Arrested
Guwahati: In a significant operation, the Assam Police have arrested two drug suppliers from Patia village in Sootea.
The arrested peddlers have been identified as Ikramul Hussain and Jamir Ali.
The police seized 45 containers filled with drugs from the possession of the accused.
Despite the Assam Police’s relentless operations against drugs, the trade continues to thrive in the state. The number of crimes and criminals has increased, and dangerous materials are regularly being supplied to various locations across the state.
The police are working tirelessly to curb the drug trade, with daily anti-drug operations being conducted throughout the state.
However, some suppliers continue to operate, supplying narcotic substances every day.
According to reports, the two arrested suppliers had brought the drugs from Khanamukh in Sonitpur. The police are investigating the source of the drugs and the extent of the distribution network.
The arrest of the two suppliers is a significant blow to the drug trade in the state, but the police need to remain vigilant to completely eradicate the menace.
