Guwahati: Assam Police detained a drug dealer as part of their ongoing fight against drugs in Assam’s Kamrup Metropolitan district on Thursday.
The drug peddler has been identified as Vikas Chetri.
According to reports, the Central Special Operations Group (SOG) caught Vikas red-handed in the act of using drugs at Paltan Bazar Rail Gate No. 2.
Reportedly, they seized 29 containers filled with Heroin and cash from his possession.
Meantime, one more suspect who was involved with Vikas fled from the spot.
Currently, Vikas Chetri is under custody for further interrogation.
