Assam Police Nab Notorious Bike Theft Duo in Dhubri

Guwahati, 20th December: In a developing incident, Dhubri Police apprehended two notorious brothers involved in a series of bike thefts in the Dhubri district.

The arrest took place early Wednesday when the town rider party and TSI Dhubri Police station caught Saddam Hossain red-handed attempting to steal a bike in Dhubri town.

The thief has been identified as Saddam Hossain resident of the Athanir Char region in Dhubri district, leading to the recovery of four stolen bikes in the Dharmasala area.

Subsequent investigations resulted in the arrest of his accomplice, Riazul Hoque, who is revealed to be Saddam’s elder brother.

Sources indicate that out of seven brothers, including Saddam, five are implicated in thefts across different areas of Dhubri district.

Earlier, Saddam was captured on a CCTV camera on October 5, stealing a bike with registration AS-17D-8662 from a mosque premises.

The ongoing interrogation may uncover more stolen bikes, and further details will be shared in accordance with the law as the preliminary investigation continues.
