Assam Police Recover Stolen Truck and Apprehend Four Individuals

Guwahati: In a significant breakthrough, Assam police have successfully recovered a missing truck carrying 54 refrigerators and apprehended four individuals, including the truck driver, in connection with the theft.

The truck, which was transporting the refrigerators from Guwahati to Agartala, had disappeared after entering Assam, prompting the owner to lodge a complaint at Badarpur Police Station.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and discovered the abandoned truck near the roadside in the Bhanga area. Acting on confidential intelligence, authorities later raided a warehouse in the Arunachal area of Cachar district, where they successfully recovered the stolen refrigerators.

The operation led to the arrest of four suspects – Abu Salim Barbhuiya, Jabir Iqbal Laskar, Abu Sajjad, and the truck driver Jabir Hussain – from the Silchar area. Law enforcement officials are currently interrogating the accused as part of the ongoing investigation.
