Assam Police Recovers Body of Missing Young Man from Parbatjhora Jungle

Guwahati: The body of Abdul Matin Fakir, a 34-year-old resident of Thuriya hill village, was recovered on Saturday, October 26, after a five-day search. His family had been searching for him since his disappearance on October 20.

In a shocking turn of events, they found his body hanging in the dense jungle of Supari Ghat, within the protected forest area.

Local authorities were promptly alerted and have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Fakir’s death.

The police are working to determine whether this incident was a planned murder or a suicide.

Officials from the Parbatjhora sub-divisional court and Kazigaon police are collaborating on the case.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled to provide further insight into the cause of death. The community is reeling in shock, with residents expressing their sorrow over the loss of the young man.
