Guwahati, 18th December: After almost four days of being kidnapped from Sonai in Cachar district, Assam Police successfully rescued a 15-year-old girl from Meghalaya’s Byrnihat.
The kidnapper, identified as Jamil Ahmed (27), was apprehended.
The victim, who went missing on December 14, 2023, was found in Meghalaya after the police conducted an operation.
The family had reported her disappearance to Sonai Police Station, leading to a search that spanned several localities before she was located and rescued. Birla.
