Assam Police Seize 275 Kg of Marijuana Concealed in Truck along Assam-Tripura Border

Guwahati, 31st January: In a successful operation, Assam police intercepted a truck along the Assam-Tripura border on January 31 and discovered a substantial consignment of Marijuana concealed in a secret compartment of the vehicle.

Acting on credible information, Inspector Pranav Mili of Chudaibari police station in Karimganj executed the operation leading to the recovery of 275 kg of Marijuana neatly packed in 45 parcels. The drugs were ingeniously hidden in a secret chamber within the truck.

Upon thorough inspection, the truck drivers, identified as Dwip Kumar Hajong and Rajiv Kalita, both residents of Boko, were apprehended. The police have initiated legal actions against the arrested individuals, marking a robust response to drug trafficking in the region.
