Assam Police Seize Smuggled Cows in VIP Car, Arrest Two in Gossaigaon
Assam: In a major crackdown on cattle smuggling, Gossaigaon police seized four cows being illegally transported in a VIP car. The animals were tied in an inhumane manner, raising further outrage over the incident.
The operation, led by Ritwik Kashyap, Officer-in-Charge of Simultapu Police Outpost, was conducted along a route from Bhomorabil in Gossaigaon toward Bilasipara. The police arrested two individuals, identified as Moinul Haque and Sajahan Ali, both residents of Bhomorabil village.
The incident has drawn attention to the increasing use of unconventional methods in illegal cattle smuggling operations. Authorities have initiated a detailed investigation to uncover the smuggling network operating in the area.
This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to curb such illegal activities and maintain law and order in the region.
