Assam Police Seize Suspected Heroin, Arrest Two in Nagaon District

Guwahati, 24th June: In a significant anti-narcotics operation, Assam police have seized suspected heroin and arrested two individuals in Nagaon district. The operation, led by Sub-Inspector Utpal Baishya of Sadar Police Station, successfully targeted illegal drug activities in the area.

During the raid, officers recovered a soap case containing a substance believed to be heroin, weighing 12.49 grams. The seized material has been sent for laboratory analysis to confirm its composition.

The two suspects taken into custody are currently undergoing questioning and will face further legal proceedings as the investigation continues. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts by Assam police to combat drug trafficking and ensure community safety.
