Assam Police Seized 24 Smuggled Cows in Kamrup, 2 Held

Guwahati: As many as 24 smuggled cows have been seized by Sontali police of Kamrup where police conducted a raid on Friday night and arrested two smugglers including 24 cows.

According to reports, Sontali police arrested two cattle smugglers along with cows while crossing the Brahmaputra from Barpeta district.

These smugglers had been transporting cows from different parts of Barpeta to Sontoli Parghat via brahmaputra river route for a long time.

 The two persons involved in the smuggling of cows and arrested by the police.

However, the smugglers have been identified as Sirajul Haque of Mahtoli village and Ramez Ali of Shelesuti village.

Supply of Cows are being day by day increasing in the state. The harder the police the more they are trying to put dust in the eyes of the police.

At a time when the government has stopped smuggling cows, a section of the cow smugglers in the state continues to dust the eyes of the police. At different times, this smuggling of cow is being run by a vicious circle with nine tricks.
