Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police arrested six persons in the connection in Assam’s Hojai district.
The six arrestees have been identified as Uwahiddin Rahman of Lanka, Jiabur Rahman and Tajudding from Morajhar, Mahbuddin and BM Uarish from Manipur and Babul Hussain of Nakhuti.
The police recovered around 11 shop cases filled with suspected heroin from the accused. The seized heroin weighs around 120 grams.
Moreover, the market value of the recovered heroin is around Rs 1 Crore.
It may be mentioned that the accused have being kept into Hojai Police custody.
