Assam Police: SLPRB to call additional number of candidates for written exam

Guwahati: The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) decided to call an additional number of candidates for the written exam in all categories of jobs at a ratio of 1:5.

The decision came after two days the candidates staged a protest at the Assam Police Headquarter in Guwahati for alleging irregularities in the Assam Police Recruitment process.

According to the official release, the decision was made during the SLPRB meeting on January 20 at Assam Police Head Quarters, Ulubari, Guwahati, and the results for the posts evaluated by the Board were announced on January 19.

The ratio of 1:5 announced in the original advertisements dated April 25, 2018, addendum dated December 19, 2019, advt dated February 18, 2020, advt dated June 8, 2020, and advt dated December 13, 2017, has most likely fallen far below the actual number of people called for written exam in the result announced on January 19, 2022.

It may be mentioned that the decision will soon be declared.
