Guwahati, 20th March: In a significant development, the Special Task Force of Assam Police achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending Haris Farooqi, the head of ISIS in India, along with another operative in Dhubri.
According to the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Assam Police, the STF team acted on intelligence inputs provided by central agencies. The arrests were made as the suspects attempted to enter the country by crossing the international border.
