Assam Police Takes Prime Accused to 4-Days Custody in Chatribari Murder Case

Guwahati: The Assam Police have taken W Yadav into custody for four days as the primary suspect in the Chatribari murder case.

After receiving a directive from the Patiala House Court in Delhi, Yadav has been placed under arrest. Yadav has been brought into prison by an Assam Police team led by ACP Prithviraj Rajkhowa.

During Yadav’s arrest by the Delhi Police, a homemade pistol was found.

It should be mentioned that Yadav was detained by the police on August 29.

The Guwahati Police had already detained Pankaj Kumar, another suspect in the murder investigation. When questioned, Kumar said that W Yadav had planned the entire thing.

Avdesh Yadav, a businessman from Guwahati, was fatally shot by bike-riding criminals on February 21 close to his home.

According to the police, W Yadav has confessed about plotting the murder of Avdesh Yadav because of family issues.

Yadav will be brought to Guwahati, on Thursday.
