Assam Police Thwarts Human Trafficking Attempt, Rescues Minor in Delhi Operation
Guwahati: In a swift and meticulously planned inter-state operation, Basistha Police, a unit of the Assam Police, successfully rescued a kidnapped minor girl from New Delhi, preventing her potential sale into human trafficking. The breakthrough underscores the persistent efforts of law enforcement to combat cross-border crime and ensure the safety of vulnerable individuals.
Acting on crucial intelligence, a dedicated team from Basistha Police Station journeyed to the national capital. Their diligent investigation led them to a tea shop located in Gali No. 14, Siraspur, under the jurisdiction of Samaypur Badli Police Station in Outer North West Delhi, where the victim was found to be allegedly confined.
During the rescue, authorities apprehended the prime accused, Raju Das, 30. Das, whose current address is Siraspur, Fatak Ki Gali, PS Samaypur Badli, Delhi, hails permanently from Ballipur, PS Madal Hathorikothi, District Samastipur, Bihar.
Following the successful rescue and apprehension, both the minor victim and the accused were transported back to Assam, adhering to all necessary legal protocols. The Basistha Police Station has lauded the coordinated effort, emphasizing the critical role of timely intervention in protecting minors and disrupting illicit trafficking networks.
