Assam: Pramod Boro Celebrates State’s Tea Garden Communities on International Tea Day

Guwahati, 21st May: On the occasion of International Tea Day, Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council, expressed profound appreciation for the tea garden communities across Assam. Recognizing their significant contributions, Boro highlighted the global renown of Assam’s tea for its rich flavor and aroma, attributing its success to the dedication of these communities.

Boro celebrated Assam’s longstanding tea heritage and acknowledged the crucial role of tea garden workers in elevating Assam’s tea to international prominence. “Assam’s Tea is famed globally for its rich, full-bodied flavour and enchanting aroma. Today, on International Tea Day, we celebrate the age-old tea heritage of Assam, and salute our tea garden communities who have made Assam synonymous with Tea the world over,” Boro wrote on the microblogging site X.

Accompanying his message, Boro shared a video that further underscored the contributions and resilience of the tea garden communities, whose hard work and commitment have cemented Assam’s reputation in the global tea industry.
