Assam: Raid Uncovers Narcotics Operation in Jakhalabandha, 2 Arrested
Guwahati, 7th May: In a targeted crackdown on narcotics, the Jakhalabandha police conducted a late-night raid on a pan shop, revealing a clandestine drug operation. Acting on a public complaint, authorities apprehended three individuals, including the alleged owner of the shop, Mrinmoy Borgohain, suspected of orchestrating a drug syndicate.
During the raid, officers discovered 13 units of suspected contraband, believed to be heroin, concealed within nine minor containers, totaling 52 grams. The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in the battle against narcotics proliferation in the region.
