Assam: Rhino Carcass Found in Kaziranga National Park
Guwahati, 17th March: A rhino carcass was recovered in Gai Tapu within the Kaziranga National Park of Assam, according to reports on Sunday.
Workers of Gai Tapu spotted the carcass near the riverbanks and informed forest department officials.
Upon receiving the information, forest department officials reached the site and retrieved the carcass.
Sources indicate that the carcass has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Preliminary assessments suggest that the rhino may have died due to age-related issues. Further investigations are underway to ascertain the exact cause of death and ensure appropriate measures are taken for the conservation of wildlife in the region.
