Assam: The Narangi Military Station in Assam hosted the two-day ‘Rhino Shakti’ Operational Logistic Seminar from December 2-3, bringing together civil and military stakeholders to craft innovative, sustainable solutions for national security logistics.

Designed to address infrastructure optimization and strategic integration, the seminar highlighted the importance of collaboration in creating robust frameworks for operational readiness along India’s borders.

The event, which reached a wide audience through hybrid mode, emphasized the multi-use, cost-effective development of infrastructure in border areas. It explored how national initiatives and global best practices can guide real-time decision-making and foster resilient logistical systems. Discussions covered predictive modeling and advanced technologies to streamline military operations and shape future logistic strategies.

A significant theme was the call for dual-use infrastructure, blending military and civilian benefits to strengthen connectivity, enhance survivability, and address pressing gaps in strategic logistics. The seminar underscored the need for triservice integration, ensuring synchronized operations among the Army, Navy, and Air Force for seamless coordination.

Speakers included experts from the Operational Logistics Directorate, Integrated Defence Staff (IDS), United Service Institution of India (USI), and key representatives from NITI Aayog, North Eastern Railways, NEEPCO, NEC, academia, and media organizations.
