Northeast Desk, 15th December: In a swift and daring operation, joint teams of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police successfully rescued two labourers who were kidnapped by unknown armed miscreants from a construction site along NH-37 in the Tamenglong district of Manipur.
The abduction had taken place on the fringes of the Assam-Manipur Border.
The security forces, along with the support of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Village chiefs, conducted an exhaustive search in dense jungles, cultivated fields, and villages.
The unwavering efforts resulted in the safe rescue of both individuals on the afternoon of December 14, highlighting the commitment of the security forces to maintaining peace and harmony in the region.
