Guwahati, 12th November: In a decisive operation conducted by the 23 Assam Rifles (AR), the apprehension of NSCN area commander Ram Pradhan, known as Ram Newar, unfolded after a clash on November 11 in Tinsukia’s Borgolai.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of a Chinese-made rifle, multiple SIM cards, and a cache of incriminating documents by Assam Rifles personnel. Ram Pradhan, allegedly involved in various criminal activities such as extortion of funds in areas like Ledo, Bargolai, Lekhapani, Bomgarha, Tipong Lalpahar, and Paharpur, has now been handed over to the Lekhapani police.
The authorities are currently engaged in an extensive interrogation process to extract further information from the detained militant.
