Guwahati: Three active militants from outlawed rebel groups have turned themselves in to security forces in separate operations in Dima Hasao district of Assam.
One of the militants is a member of the Kuki Tribals Union (KTU), while the other two are members of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM).
On Saturday, the Haflong Battalion of the Assam Rifles helped two active cadres of the NSCN (IM) and one active cadre of the KTU surrender in the Dima Hasao District.
Taking to the Twitter, Assam Rifles wrote, “Haflong Battalion of #AssamRifles, on 16 Jul 2022, facilitated surrender of two active cadres of #NSCN (IM) and one active cadre of #KTU in Dima Hasao District, Assam.”
