Assam Rifles’ IG Visits Nagaland CM to Strengthen Ties

Northeast Desk, 18th May: Major General Manish Kumar, SM, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North), met with Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in Kohima on May 16, 2024. This significant meeting aimed to bolster the relationship between the Assam Rifles and the Nagaland state administration.

During the visit, Major General Manish Kumar extended greetings from the Assam Rifles fraternity to the Chief Minister and the people of Nagaland. The meeting underscored the Assam Rifles’ enduring commitment to serving as ‘Friends of the Northeast,’ highlighting their role in maintaining peace, security, and goodwill in the region.
