Assam Rifles, Mizoram Police Seize 10,000 Methamphetamine Tablets Worth ₹3 Crore in Lawngtlai District
Mizoram: In a joint operation, Mizoram Police and personnel from Assam Rifles recovered 10,000 Methamphetamine tablets valued at ₹3 crore from the Lawngtlai-Bungtlang Road junction in Mizoram’s southern Lawngtlai district.
The operation also led to the arrest of two individuals linked to the illicit drugs.
Acting on specific intelligence, the Assam Rifles team, in coordination with Mizoram Police, swiftly launched the operation, ensuring the safety and security of the region.
This action underscores Assam Rifles’ dedication to curbing illegal activities and maintaining peace in the border areas of the Northeast.
The arrested individuals and the seized contraband have been handed over to Bungtlang Police Station for further investigation and legal action.
