Assam: A tragic road accident occurred in the Kanishail area of Sribhumi city, where a speeding truck struck two schoolgirls, resulting in one fatality and one severe injury.
The incident took place when the truck lost control while traveling at high speed and hit the two girls as they were walking along the roadside.
Humaiya Siddiqui, one of the girls, tragically lost her life in the accident, while her sister, Hafsa Siddiqui, is in critical condition and is receiving medical treatment at Sribhumi hospital. Eyewitnesses reported the truck’s reckless speed, which led to the devastating collision.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the mini truck has been arrested. A heavy police presence was deployed to the scene to maintain order and assist with the ongoing investigation.
