Assam: Russian Resident in Sivasagar Crafts Boat to Cross Brahmaputra with a Unique Message, known as his story

Guwahati, 14th October: In a remarkable journey of determination and cultural exploration, a Russian man named Vaisili is preparing to embark on a challenging voyage down the Brahmaputra River in Assam. Vaisili’s mission is not only to navigate this mighty river but also to spread a message of global peace. His story is a testament to the human spirit’s drive for adventure and cultural exchange.

Vaisili’s fascination with rivers has led him on journeys across several countries, all in hand-made boats. His interest in the Brahmaputra was piqued during a chance encounter with a businessman from Sivasagar in Goa, who vividly described the river’s grandeur and the way of life along its banks.

Settling in Dighaldarioli village in the western edge of Sivasagar district, Vaisili sought refuge with a local family and dedicated himself to crafting a boat suitable for the Brahmaputra’s formidable waters. His plan is to complete the boat by October 20.

Vaisili’s ambitious journey will take him from Dikhaumukh Rupohimukh to Sadiya along the Brahmaputra, immersing himself in the lives of riverside communities and spreading a message of global peace. Two Indonesian citizens will join him on this remarkable expedition.

After reaching Sadiya, Vaisili intends to continue his journey, navigating through Bangladesh via the Brahmaputra River and ultimately aiming to reach Kanyakumari in the southern tip of India. Along the way, he hopes to document the unique cultures and lifestyles of the people living along the riverbanks.

Vaisili’s mission is not just an adventure; it’s also a cultural one. He aspires to translate the works of his spiritual gurus, who have had a significant impact on his life, into the Russian language. This cultural exchange reflects his deep appreciation for the knowledge and wisdom imparted to him.

As Vaisili’s journey commences, the world will be watching in awe as he sets out on his incredible voyage down the Brahmaputra River, exploring its mysteries, and promoting a message of peace and understanding between cultures.
