Assam: School Teacher Injured By Bike-Borne Assailants In Golaghat
Guwahati, 16th November: In a shocking incident, a school teacher, fell victim to a brazen attack by two assailants on November 16. The assailants, riding a motorcycle, ambushed the teacher, firing at him from point-blank range, resulting in bullet injuries to his leg.
The incident was reported close to the Ram Mandir (temple) in the Golaghat district’s Latabari area of Bokakhat.
The injured person was identified as Uday Changmai.
The attack occurred as Uday was returning home from school.
Following the point-blank assault, the miscreants not only fled with Changmai’s motorbike but also pilfered personal items from the wounded teacher.
Expressing concern over the incident, the victim’s father said, “My son is a teacher. While he was returning home from school today, two bike-borne miscreants followed him and shot him in the leg.”
The Bokakhat police have immediately responded, recording the victim’s statements and launching an investigation into the incident.
