Guwahati, 9th January: In a tragic incident, a student from Parbatjhora Bagribari Higher Secondary School sustained severe injuries after being hit by a speeding truck while attempting to cross the road in Assam’s Chirang on January 9.
The incident took place on the National Highway 17 in Parbatjhora village under Bijni Subdivision.
The incident involved a freight truck with the registration number AS 17C 5912, en route from Dhubri to Guwahati.
The student, who fell under the truck during the accident, sustained critical injuries.
Following the incident, she was immediately shifted to Bagribari Model Hospital for medical attention.
It needs to be mentioned that police officials are on the spot and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
