Assam: SEBA Announces Online Registration for Class IX Students in April 2024

Guwahati, 16th March: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has revealed plans to commence online registration for Class IX students in April 2024, according to an announcement made on Friday. This registration process will necessitate the submission of the 17-digit student ID of Class VIII, which is utilized in the Gunotsav or Siksha Setu portal for government schools, or the UDISE code for private schools. SEBA’s notification emphasized that completion of registration will be contingent upon the provision of this 17-digit student ID.

In the upcoming registration process, each school will be required to furnish the 11-digit UDISE Code, mirroring the procedure adopted in the previous year. However, a new requirement mandates the inclusion of the 17-digit Student ID of Class VIII, which is accessible through the Gunotsav or Siksha Setu portal for government schools and is available in the UDISE database for private schools.

To facilitate this process seamlessly, schools are directed to input this ID into the registration portal, as stipulated in the Class VIII marks sheet, which must be procured upon the student’s admission to Class IX. SEBA assures that comprehensive instructions and specific registration dates will be communicated to all stakeholders in the near future.
