Guwahati, 27th September: Serious allegations have been raised against the authorities of an oil rig in Sonari, Assam’s Charaideo district, following a distressing incident that left two laborers severely wounded. The incident unfolded at the Rongsuwal Changmai Gaon oil rig in Sonari, and details of the incident have come to light on Wednesday.
On September 19, 2023, two laborers working at the rig tragically fell from a considerable height, estimated to be at least 30 feet, resulting in severe injuries. The injured individuals have been identified as Pallab Baruah from Patsaku and Abhijit Bailung from Naharkatia, according to reliable sources.
These alarming events have given rise to allegations against the rig’s owners, with claims that they attempted to conceal the incident.
