Assam Singer Zubeen Garg Criticizes Assam Jatiya Parishad as ‘Fotuwa’ Political Party

Guwahati, 29th August: Popular Assam singer Zubeen Garg has openly criticized the regional political party, Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP), labeling it a ‘Fotuwa’ or nonsensical political entity.

In an interaction with the media, Garg asserted, “I’m not launching an attack against them (AJP), nor do I engage in such actions. However, if they engage in nonsensical activities, they naturally earn the label of being nonsensical. They initially protested against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) alongside me and then went on to establish a political party.”

Further expressing his ideological stance, Garg identified himself as a social leftist who works for the betterment of the people. He emphasized that he does not align with either the Congress Party or the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Meanwhile, MyNewsNE made efforts to obtain a response from AJP President Lurinjyoti Gogoi regarding Garg’s comments, but Gogoi was unavailable to provide a statement on the matter.
