Assam: Six more students evacuated from Ukraine

Guwahati: Six more students Assam who were stuck in the war hit Ukraine arrive New Delhi on Ukraine.

As per the reports of a press release issued by the Assam government, the students arrived at the Assam Bhawan in New Delhi and were received by officials.

The names of the students are Bhaswati Goswami (Guwahati), Mrigakshi Kalita (Nalbari), Saddam Hussain (Nagaon), Mumshad Hujaef Uddin Ahmed (Nagaon), Nayan Jyoti Das (Nagaon) and Sneha Deka (Guwahati).

It may be mentioned that on Saturday, the Ministry of External Affairs announced that more than 13,300 students have returned to India as part of Operation Ganga from Ukraine’s conflict.

The Ministry further stated that practically all Indians have left Kharkiv, Ukraine, and that the government’s primary attention is on evacuating citizens from the Sumy area, which is difficult due to continued violence and a lack of transportation.

The government has also dispatched ‘special envoys’ to five nations bordering Ukraine in order to coordinate and supervise the evacuation of Indian people.
