Guwahati: In a sensational incident a son killed his father in Assam’s Nalbari district over domestic violence.
The incident took place at the Dihjari village of the district last night at around 11 PM when a person named Jayant Baishya who is the elder son of Lakheswar Baishya, a resident of the village attacked his father with sharp weapon over a domestic dispute.
Moreover, Jayant’s younger brother identified as Bapukan Baishya also sustains severe injuries in the attack.
However, both the father and the son were rushed to North Guwahati Narayana Hospital though 60-year-old elderly father named Lakheshwar Baishya died and brother Bapukan Baishya, who is an army, is undergoing treatment and is in critical situation.
It may be mentioned that Jayant Baishya, a 35-year-old man who consumed poison went out of his residence and was lying unconscious at Nalbari Pagaldia Ghat when the police official found him. However, later he was sent to Shaheed Mukund Kakati Civil Hospital for further treatment
Notably, Jayanta also has a wife and son.
It needs to be noted that the Ghograpar Police officials are currently investigating the incident.
Moreover, the exact incident will come to light only after a police investigation.
