Assam: Special Task Force Seizes 22 Containers of Heroin in Major Drug Bust
Guwahati, 15th May: In a significant operation against drug trafficking, the Special Task Force (STF) seized 22 containers of heroin from Goram Market in Khanapar late last night. The raid resulted in the arrest of Bituraj Dali, a suspected key player in the local drug trade.
Acting on a tip-off, the STF conducted a raid on the market, which has a notorious reputation for drug activities. During the operation, officers discovered the heroin concealed in 22 containers. Bituraj Dali, the arrested individual, is believed to play a crucial role in the drug distribution network in the area.
This successful seizure underscores the ongoing efforts by authorities to combat drug trafficking in the region. The confiscated heroin, with its substantial market value, highlights the significant scale of the drug trade in and around Khanapar.
