Guwahati: In a horrifying and heart-breaking incident, a hungry man was found eating the meat of a dead dog on Saturday near National Highway 31 in Rangiya city of Assam.
The man has been identified as Khagen Modak of Duliajan.
According to reports, Modak have eaten the dog and was laying there in a disfigured state.
Reportedly, the man gobbled the deceased dog’s carcass in full view of the public, which contributed to the unsettling atmosphere in the area.
Reports informed that a few days ago, the dog was run over after being hit by a speeding vehicle on Highway 31 in Rangiya.
Meanwhile, politically aware citizens are calling on the government to get involved.
