Assam: State-wide launched of ‘Modi@20-Dreams Meet Delivery’

Guwahati: A galaxy of distinguished individuals including Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, inaugurated the anthology “Modi@20-Dreams Meet Delivery” on Saturday at Shrimanta Shankardeva Kalashetra.

The anthology detailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s journey over the previous 20 years as the leader of a government.

While addressing at the state-wide launch of the book, CM Sarma said, “Honoured to be part of the state wide launch of “Modi@20 – Dreams Meet Delivery,” an incredible scholarly book that details our Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s two-decade-long eventful political journey and the current political landscape in India.”

He said, “Adarniya Modi ji turned the state into a model of development by bringing qualitative change to every sector of the state during his stint as CM of Gujarat for over 12 years. He gave the NDA government its first full majority in 30 years when he was elected PM in 2014.”

“Modi ji has significantly aided the BJP’s ascent. BJP had 4 of its own chief ministers and 1 from the NDA alliance in 2013. BJP currently has 6 CMs from associated parties and 12 CMs on its own. It provides a benchmark for how the BJP’s social and geographic environment has changed under Modi ji’s leadership. Political analysts have been pursuing the question of what propelled Modi ji to power with vigour. Numerous factors exist. In addition to the BJP’s karyakartas, millions of non-political volunteers carried a message to every street. It was because of the message Modi Ji delivered, Sarma said.

Sarma asked the publishers to translate this resourceful book into Assamese to make it easier for Assamese people to “know more about Modi ji’s inspiring personality.”

Olympian PV Sindhu, who was in attendance and has a chapter to her name, said of Modi ji, “He is always so helpful and encouraging. After I won Bronze and Silver at international competitions, Modi ji pushed me to aim for Gold by asking why it couldn’t. I won Gold in 2019. He then gave me ice cream to make good on his promise.”

Sports stars Hima Das, Lovlina Borgohain, and musician Angaraag Papon Mahanta were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
