Assam: STF apprehends 12 drug peddlers, seizes narcotics at Guwahati Railway Station
Guwahati, 15th October: The Special Task Force (STF) on October 16 successfully executed an operation at the parking area of Guwahati Railway Station, within the jurisdiction of Panbazar Police Station.
This operation resulted in the apprehension of 12 individuals, including four women, and the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs and related materials.
Based on credible information from reliable sources, the STF launched this operation at the bustling transportation hub in the heart of Guwahati.
The well-coordinated operation unfolded seamlessly, with officers arresting the suspects in the act of engaging in drug-related activities.
The 12 individuals taken into custody were found in possession of a substantial cache of illicit substances and related paraphernalia.
The items seized included 104 vials containing suspected heroin, 275 empty vials, Rs 45,000 in cash, two scooters, five mobile phones, syringes, and other incriminating materials.
The arrested suspects and the seized items will now be turned over to the City Police for further legal proceedings and investigations.
