Assam: STF Team Nabs Two Drug Peddlers, heroin seized

Guwahati, 3rd March: In a swift operation, the Special Task Force (STF) Assam successfully apprehended two suspected drug peddlers and seized 34 soap boxes containing heroin weighing 500 grams. Acting on specific inputs, the STF Assam team led a hot pursuit and captured the individuals identified as Abidur Rahman and Munnes Khan in Guwahati.

Following their apprehension, a thorough search and seizure operation was conducted at the premises of the arrested duo, leading to the discovery of the contraband items. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commended the efforts of the Assam Police, highlighting their proactive approach in combating drug trafficking.

Taking to platform X, CM Sarma praised the STF Assam for their prompt action based on actionable intelligence. He acknowledged the successful outcome of the operation, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in curbing the illegal drug trade in the state.
