Guwahati: A suspected Pakistani agent was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday night in the Morigaon district of Assam.
Reports claim that the CBI carried out a raid in the Moirabari arrested of Morigaon and arrested one suspected Pakistani agent there.
The suspected agent has been accused of supplying SIM cards to Pakistani intelligence agencies.
Two laptops and several objectionable documents have also been seized from his possession.
The agent has been identified as Baharul Islam.
Baharul Islam was arrested on suspicion of working as a Pakistani agent by operating a mobile store in Saruchala bazaar under Moirabari police station.
