Guwahati: A suspected linkman of the banned United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) has been apprehended by Assam Police from Golaghat district on Thursday.
The arrestee has been identified as Prakash Gogoi.
According to reports, Gogoi was arrested from Bogijan area of the district.
Reportedly, the accused was in contact with the outlawed terrorist group through social media adding that his role however remains unclear.
It is also learned that Gogoi had qualified for the post of constable in Assam police in the last exam.
Police officials stated that further questioning is underway.
