Guwahati, 5th July: In Guwahati’s Panikhaiti area, a Swift car (registration number AS01 DL 8066) lost control and plunged into floodwaters on the Narengi Chandrapur highway. The accident occurred at Lahapara in Panikhaiti.
The vehicle, traveling at high speed from Narengi towards Chandrapur, veered off the road and ended up in the floodwaters. There were four young men inside the car at the time of the incident.
Thankfully, there were no casualties. Local residents promptly responded to the accident, rescuing all four occupants from the submerged vehicle. The quick actions of the locals ensured that the youths were brought to safety without any serious injuries.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the accident.
