Guwahati, 4th April: A Swift Dezire vehicle caught fire suddenly on the GS Road in Guwahati city. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported as a result of the fire.
The fire is suspected to have originated from a mechanical failure within the vehicle. The incident occurred around 4 am on the intervening night of Wednesday, near the Ganeshguri flyover.
Swift action followed as fire tenders immediately responded to the emergency. They arrived at the scene and effectively extinguished the flames.
